Australia’s leading Open Source Software Developer is looking for a tender and sales assistant to join its highly successful Sales Team.

You will be working in a charming open-plan office, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, conveniently located at Leichhardt; so you had better like food and coffee!

The successful individual will be responsible for helping to construct winning tenders for new business (government, corporate and NFP), as well as producing effective and interesting copy for client newsletters, case studies, reference letters and other client related content.

As a sales and tender writer with the Squiz sales team you will be rewarded with the opportunity to:

• Receive and deconstruct tender requests, picking out key points
• Research the target organisation.
• Understand the desired outcome and writing to win the business!
• Appropriately addressing tender criteria and questions.
• Liaising with other departments to get the right answers.
• Working within timeframes and meeting deadlines.
• Producing interesting copy for client newsletters, case studies, website etc.
• Helping out at trade shows and seminars

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Experience in writing tenders (Government tender writing experience will be viewed particularly favourably).
• A good command of written and spoken English is a must.
• An understanding of Open Source and / or CMS software.
• Strong business writing skills with the ability to write copy that sells.
• A real appreciation of the importance of ‘getting to the point’ and how to do it.
• Skill in conveying image, branding, and corporate philosophy in a written format.
