Recent graduates

Squiz welcomes applications by University Graduates and are always keen to help people new to the IT industry start their career.

As you may know, Squiz builds and manages an open source content management system (CMS) called MySource Matrix. The CMS is written in PHP and is generally hosted on Linux or Unix environments. MySource Matrix uses either PostgreSQL or Oracle as its database and is obviously focused on publishing web content.

There are a few positions which are probably more suitable for people with minimal IT experience, and depending on our workload and ability to mentor you, we may have positions available in the following areas:

Analyst/Programmers Require excellent programming and OO design skills.
Implementation Specialists This is all about web. If your great with HTML, CSS and JavaScript this is your role. You will be expected to understand web standards and what is involved in creating accessible content.
Server Administrators To apply for this role you need to be passionate about Linux and enjoy keeping up with the latest developments.
Technical Consultants Need solid grounding in a range of IT skills, particularly Linux administration. They also need great problem solving skills and excellent communication skills.
