Quality Management

Squiz recognises quality management is an ongoing commitment and we work hard to create a complete quality solution for our clients. Our systems work well and we are committed to improving them where we can.

Squiz aims to adhere to the following 8 principles at all times to ensure projects are always delivered on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction.

Pre-Planning: Before starting a new job all project deliverables, time frames and milestones are discussed with the client. Squiz staff follow a series of client interview based processes which ensure that everybody understands what we expect of each other and when. Getting it clear at the beginning is the easiest way of avoiding problems later.
Project Management: All Squiz clients are assigned an Account Manager and a Project Manager. Your Account Manager will work with you to define a project scope and its costs and your Project Manager will manage all aspects of the project development becoming your key point of contact. He/She will document (and can provide you with a copy of) all communications between yourself and Squiz. These communications are maintained by Squiz and form part of an internal audit trail.
Intranet: Squiz manages all of its client interactions and work in progress through a secure purpose built intranet. This intranet allows Squiz staff to view a client's work history, current tasks and deliverables as well as detailed timesheets of all staff who have worked on each project.
Squiz's intranet ensures Squiz staff follow quality control procedures with automatic alerts triggered to escalate jobs if problems arise.
Reporting: Good communication is the key to a successful project. In addition to work in progress reports from your Project Manager, Squiz can provide its clients with extranet access which allows clients to monitor timesheets, log work requests and comment on work in progress in real time.
Short project cycle: Squiz breaks all work down into stages of not more than 12 weeks. Each stage ends with clear deliverables and provides an opportunity for the client to review scope and even change direction if required. This simple but effective strategy allows everyone to adapt quickly to a fast moving world.
Testing: No mater how well you plan or execute a project you still need to test it. Squiz creates tailor made testing plans for its clients which include such elements as usability testing, functional testing, automated software tests or testing for standards compliance.
Feedback: Squiz's clients are asked to provide feedback on all projects in the form of a post-production review to ensure that our systems are continuously improved and updated.
Ongoing Support: Projects do not end at "go live". Squiz can make sure your solution is properly adopted and continues to evolve with your organisation via a tailor made service level agreement. These agreements can cover such elements as guaranteed up time, warranty, service response time and much more. Or through its partnership with Standards Australia (PA Consulting in the UK & Europe), Squiz can help your organisation implement a suitable change management and QA strategy for the ongoing management of your solution.
